What's Ye Mystic Krewe of Neptune All About?

The first organized Krewes were established more than 300 years ago in Mobile, Alabama to celebrate Mardi Gras. Over 100 years ago, the first Gasparilla Festival started in Tampa and continues as an annual tradition today with almost a hundred Krewes in the Tampa Bay area.

In today's stressful business environment the Krewe of Neptune provides an opportunity to relax, party and socialize with friends. Whether it's a costume party or black tie affair, you and your spouse or significant other will enjoy the company of others in a wide variety of fun activities every month. It does not take long to develop a strong sense of camaraderie and fellowship in the Krewe - because we are a stimulating group of friendly people.

YMKN Canoe Trip
Saturday, October 8-9th
Location: Rainbow River

  This year we are going to switch it up a little and change the location.
 
Mark your calendars now - October 8 - 10 (the river run will be on Sat. 9th)
 
We will be staying at the Rainbow Rivers Club.  They have cabins that are on the waters of the Rainbow River.  We have reserved 11 cabins, each is 2 bedrooms plus a sleeper sofa.  Each cabin has a kitchen, too.
 
On site there is a party pavilion, volleyball, horseshoes, etc.
 
The rates are $109 per night, plus tax, per cabin (2 night stay)
 
The canoe/kayak run will go a little differently, too.  The boat rental company will take us to the starting point by van, we go down the river and end up at the cabins.
 
The cost for the day on the river will be approx. $100 for 2 in a canoe or double kayak and $60 for a single kayak.  After the river run we'll have food and beer/wine/soft drinks   which is also whic..
 
If you want to attend only the Saturday event with food, drink and activities, the cost is $25.00 per person.

Pub Crawl on Friday Night.

Coronation Ball For Neptunus Rex XXXI
Saturday, November 13th
Location: Wyndham Tampa Westshore

Our Royal Event this year will be held at the Wyndham Tampa Westshore (Formerly the Quorum Hotel) located at 700 N. Westshore Blvd in Tampa.

Please join us to honor our outgoing Royalty; King Tyler and Queen Melissa, as well as welcome our new Monarchs who will reign over their loyal subjects for the upcoming year.

Look for your formal invitation to be mailed out around the first of October. This will be a Black Tie event however; all officers in the Krewe, present and former, have the option of wearing your officer’s jacket with tux pants, formal shirt and bowtie.

An insert card requesting Table Sponsors will be included with your RSVP. Last year, all tables were sponsored, so it will be on a first come, first serve basis this year.  The price for the table sponsor will be same as last year. For $75 you will receive 2 bottles of wine with dinner, preferred seating, pre-program VIP Room access with open bar and food, a table placard with your name as sponsor, choice of 2 tablemates, table centerpiece at the end of the event, your name mentioned in the program hand-out and a first for this year, you can order additional bottles of wine for your table.  We have thirsty krewe!

Dinner will be plated with your choice of entrée. After dinner we will be experiencing a first; a dessert room filled will with a wide variety of delectable desserts, coffee and teas for you pleasure.

A professional photographer will be available before the ceremony to take photos for all the members and guests attending. Photos will be available for purchase after the event.

The MEGA LIQUOR LOTTO is back with beverages filling up a Tommy Bahama Party Cooler Cart. The silent auction again will hold surprises and interests for everyone. We appreciate all the support our members show for these fund raising events.
